ADULT ART CLASSES
Mixed Media, Print and Collage
Autumn 6 week course
Fridays 11.30 - 1.15 pm
October 17, 24th
November 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
Cost: £180 for the course which covers all materials and equipment.
During this 6 week course we will use a variety of techniques including gelli prints, collage, painting and drawing to create a series of prints, drawings and mixed media artworks .
Although initially we will take inspiration from views and scenes that inspire us in the local environment. These early drawings will be developed through the use of print and collage to create less representational mixed media artworks.
I will be encouraging everyone to develop personal ways of working. We all see and feel the world around us in different ways and these differences can be carried into our artworks to create authentic and original pieces of art.
We will use the current exhibition of artists Anselm Keifer and Vincent Van Gogh at the Royal Academy , ( Keifer/Vanessa Gogh, Royal Academy , London), to inspire us; their wonderful use of texture, image , scale and mark making.
As a group we will work together to create a supportive environment where everyone feels free to release their inner creativity :)
This course promises to be fun and accessible for all skill levels. If you have never made art before this course is still for you but best to approach either a can do frame of mind for maximum enjoyment:)
